Fall of Indian rupee continues…

₹ vs US$

The Indian rupee trading at lifetime low due to trade deficit, Brent crude oil prices increasing, and trade war fears, the rupee impaired further by 0.74 paisa this week compared with the previous week closing. The Indian rupee collapsed below the ₹72 level for the first time ever against the US dollar on 06th September 2018. The domestic currency slipped paisa to trade and touched at ₹72.12 against the US currency. The rupee has fallen nearly 2 percent till now this month and more than 12 percent in the year. This week rupee collapse continued for 7 days except today.

  • Last week Indian rupee closed at ₹70.99 to fall of 0.25 paisa.
  • Current week closed at ₹71.73 with the gain of 0.26 paisa.
  • Rupee touched the maximum strength point 0.26 paisa against the US dollar today in the whole week.
  • On the closing day Rupee gained 0.26 paisa and this is the highest during the week and highest fall 0.37 paisa on 4th September 2018.
